Do you know where the colors in your paints come from?

Through Instagram, I have learned about people who gather earth pigments - colored minerals from rocks and soil.

I became enchanted with these natural earth pigments, and the idea of painting with them myself.

Recently, I got to try the Rainbow Earth watercolor palette by Whitesnake Arts. These earth pigments are gathered by hand in Oregon, and made into special handmade watercolor paints in a lovely wooden palette.

Painting with the actual soil and land where I live, is a unique experience.

It makes me feel more connected to nature and appreciative of Earth’s beauty.
