is a method I have developed and used over the past 20 years to help me to deal with life challenges including stress, anxiety, depression, illness, grief, and trauma.
This method is a blend of visual art expression, creative visualization, journal writing, gentle movement, energy healing, guided meditations and breath work.
It’s a method that you can adapt to your own individual needs, and use for many years to come.
This method may be used by anyone, regardless of artistic skill level.

The WISE Body Art Journal, our road map (course syllabus)
Week 1: Explore the language of color and mark-making. What is the WISE Body Art Journal method?
Learn to express your inner feelings non-verbally, and begin creating your own artistic language.
Blessing hands guided meditation. Body scan guided meditation.
Week 2: Feeling and releasing.
Feeling is healing. Explore uncomfortable or difficult feelings in the safety of your art journal. Feel so that you can release. When you let go, fresh energy can flow through you.
Body scan guided meditation. Grounding and letting go meditation.
Week 3: Symbolic shape-shifting.
Extrapolate and explore an element of your journal. Our unconscious may speak to us in shapes, symbols and metaphors. How can we play with, and relate with, the shape-shifters that emerge?
Create your own movement meditation with your shapes and symbols.
Week 4: Inner child healing.
Create, image and dialogue with your inner child self, your most pure and creative self. Re-member, re-connect, re-integrate the precious parts of yourself that may have been lost.
Loving and accepting the inner child guided meditation.
Week 5: Imagining your future self.
Visualize your desired state of well-being with the help of your wiser, elder self. Allow this wise future self to guide you.
